I’m in Boston for the week attending the Salesforce.com DEV-501 Visualforce, Apex and DaasS training class. It should be an interesting week as I arrive back home late Saturday night and then fly out again the next morning bright and early for Dreamforce in San Francisco for 4 days.

Will be tough to get an actual work done.

I’m going to take the 501 course in January — any advice before the class?

(thanks for the redirecting users to different visual pages item, will be trying that this morning.)

Depending on your experience you’ll get more of out of certain days. I really liked Wed-Fri as the first couple of days were beginning Apex and Visualforce. The code samples are really great and you should definitely study those. I don’t think they hit testing near as much as they should have and if you can get them to expand on that section I think you’d get much more out of your class. The last afternoon was migrating with Eclipse and ANT and it was a bust. The computer weren’t setup with the correct image and the instructor couldn’t get the ANT commands to run successfully. Would have been much better off to elaborate more on testing. Good luck!!
