@Adrienne, you may want to talk with your boss about the details. Salesforce.com has a number of "pilot programs" running at any time so you'll want to see which specific one she is referring to.

Hi,
I read your blog and it seems you know a lot about Salesforce. I've used it extensively in my sales jobs and thought I was pretty advanced. Now, I started a new job in the Marketing department at a big company and my new boss is talking about new Salesforce.com "pilots" that I am supposed to work on in the New Year. I don't know what she is talking about. Do you have any suggestions as to what she might be referring to?

thanks,
Adrienne

Actually, just to quote SFDC on

"Hi all, I am very pleased to announce that this feature is coming out in Spring '11! It has been a long wait for us all, and I appreciate everybody who has posted and offered comments and suggestions. For the General Availability release, we will be supporting Accounts, Opportunities, Cases and Contacts. Leads and campaigns will come in a future release. We are also supporting Record Types as a criterion, which was highly desired by many of you. We also added complex Boolean logic for combining criteria, and increased the number of criteria you can use. Enjoy! - Budvieria"

Based upon a conversation I know that it is coming soon. What soon is I cannot say (safe harbor) but a good guess might be next release. Hope that is vague enough?

Thanks for the clarification Tom! Perhaps you could make your versions as confusing as Microsoft's? Possibly even develop a random version generator? :-)
