Writing a New Developer Book for Google Wave

December 1st, 2009

Now that our Beginning Java for Google App Engine book has gone to print, Kyle Roche and I have signed an agreement with Apress to write a Google Wave book targeted at developers titled, Programming Google Wave.

If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see, please let us know as we have no idea what to write <g>. Seriously, we’ve got some great sample robots and extensions for Python and Java but could always use some ideas.

Please post your ideas or comments below or on Kyle’s site!

    Hi Jeff,
Excited to hear you are writing a book on Google Wave. Here are a few things that I would love to read
    1) A chapter on the conceptual architecture – what are the pieces, where do they live, integration points etc,
    2) Google Wave as it relates to other Google APIs with the idea of helping someone create the right mashups.
    3) Security model both the theory and applications to a few common use cases
    4) Enterprise application of Google Wave

    Thanks and all the best!
    Nick Simha
